Intimate is a workshop series with no fixed topic! This way, we can address a specific and different topic each year. The goal of the workshop is to bring together a group of experts and offer them an "intimate" environment to brainstorm on recent advances and new perspectives on a given topic. The workshop also mixes together people from academia and industry to facilitate the transfer of new research ideas to operational use.
This year's workshop topic is "Methods and Tools for Network Analysis". The goal is to brainstorm about techniques for evaluating new protocols, algorithms or systems spanning both wired and wireless networking. The workshop will cover a large spectrum of approaches, namely, analysis, simulation, emulation, and testbed experiments. In particular, we want to discuss how to do reproducible networking experiments, benchmarking, tuning of simulation and emulation parameters.
Participation to the workshop is by invitation only; most participants are expected to give a short talk to instigate discussion. The workshop will take place in Paris on July 9-10. There will be no registration fee. A workshop dinner will be offered by our sponsors on July 9th. A list of local accommodations will be notified in advance to workshop participants.
