My home page has moved to http://people.epfl.ch/dan-cristian.tomozei.
I obtained my PhD in 2011 from the University "Pierre et Marie Curie" (Paris 6). My thesis, "Distributed Algorithms for Peer-to-Peer Networks", is available here.
My advisor is Laurent Massoulié.

My areas of interest include:
- Peer-to-Peer
- Network coding
- Graph theory
- Applied probabilities
- Collaborative filtering.

I am involved in the N-Crave project.
"Network Coding for Robust Architectures in Volatile Environments" is a project funded by the European Union aiming at exploring
the benefits of using network coding in such contexts as wireless networks or peer-to-peer networks.

I joined the Paris Research Lab in May 2007 for a 6-month internship and subsequently for my PhD.

I received my MSc and BSc degrees from Ecole Polytechnique in 2007 -- MPRI (Master Parisien de Recherche en Informatique).
The same year, I was also registered in
ENST Paris,
where I received a second BSc degree ("double diplome").

Before coming to France I was a student at the Computer Science Faculty (’Politehnica’ University of Bucharest).
