Summary
Since 1996 I worked with Technicolor Corporate Research. I am currently part of corporate research group in Princeton, NJ focusing on 3D technology. I was formally a member of the research group in both Indianapolis and Burbank.

Specialties
3D Computer Vision, Image processing, Video Streaming over the Internet.

Past and current works

- 3D content creation and post production. Human factor study, quality measurement and enhancements of stereo content.
- Business advisory for corporate research in the 3D area
- Research in depth map extraction, 3D construction, camera calibration, and 2d-3d conversion
- Video streaming over the Internet and wireless home network with focus on developing algorithms, and exploring architecture to improve quality of video delivered over the Internet
- Represented the company in a number of standards organization such as SMPTE, and MPEG

Bio
Izzat IZZAT received PhD in computer engineering from Wayne State University, MI in 1990. He worked as a research assistant in Wayne state university for 3 years. He then joined George Mason University, VA as a visiting associate where he worked on both teaching courses in computer architecture and data structure and research in image processing and computer vision. After finishing his Ph.d, he joined Yarmouk University, Jordan and worked as assistant professor from 1991-1995. He joined Technicolor in 1996 at the Indianapolis location then moved to the newly established research center in Burbank, CA in 2004. He is currently a senior member of technical staff in Princeton, NJ focusing on work in 3D computer vision and image processing.
Dr. Izzat is the holder of several patents and papers. He is a member of a number of standards organizations such as SMPTE and MPEG.
