Currently
Yassine Nassili is Master's intern from EURECOM (Sophia-Antipolis). He joined Thomson Paris Research Lab on March 2nd, 2009. The Subject of his internship is: "Experimental Evaluation of a TDM-based MAC protocol for Wireless Mesh Networks."
This work will be following a previous paper: "TDM MAC Protocol Design and Implementation for Wireless Mesh Networks, by Dimitrios Koutsonikolas, Theodoros Salonidis, Henrik Lundgren, Pascal LeGuyadec, Y. Charlie Hu, and Irfan Sheriff". It will consist on optimizing the existing prototype, adding new features, and finally experimenting it in different scenarios in order to compare it to the standard 802.11 protocol.
He is supervised by Henrik Lundgren and Theodoros Salonidis from Thomson and by Guillaume Urvoy-Keller from EURECOM.
Short Bio
After two years of MPSI preparatory classes for the "Grandes Ecoles" at Moulay Youssef High School (Rabat), Yassine Nassili joined TELECOM Bretagne, a graduate engineering school of information technologies.
During the first year at TELECOM Bretagne, he obtained at the same time a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics at Bretagne Occidentale University. Afterwards, he followed the Master program "Networks and Distributed Systems" during an exchange semester at Aalborg University (Denmark). Then, he chose the "Networking and Security" track for his third year at EURECOM.
